I've loved art since I was a little kid. I can remember as a child spending my time in class drawing sketches of athletes on skateboards, surfboards, dirt bikes and BMX bikes. I love the outdoors and being in nature.

I am a very visual person and into aesthetics. I appreciate many forms of art as well. For me however, it has been applying paint on a canvas, board or paper that I find most satisfying.

Like many people, I've been constantly lured to the ocean. I love the salt in the air, the smell of the sea, the feel of the cool water rushing over my skin and the relaxing sound of the waves crashing on the shore. I love everything about it. Even the sand that gets everywhere! I also crave excitement and exhilaration from time to time. That is why I enjoy surfing so much.

I have tried and experienced all sorts of things in my life. I have travelled extensively in the USA and in Australia as well as many countries in Europe and Asia. I've met loads of interesting and unique people.

It has been the abundance of different experiences, challenges, and future goals that have made me the person I am today.

After growing up in Southern California, I left the USA at age 20 to study teaching in Australia. It was here that my love of surfing and creating art grew stronger. After completing my Bachelors of Arts degree in 2004 from Avondale University in fine art and secondary teaching in 2008, my Aussie wife and I headed back to California. I taught high school art as well as other subjects for a few years. I painted off and on and gave painting to friends as gifts. However, It was during the United States recession that I needed to find another career. I looked into the medical field which lead me to physiotherapy.

I entered the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Loma Linda University with after completing a whole host of prerequisite science classes. I graduated with honors and practiced physical therapy in Southern California in a variety of settings.

My wife and I always knew we wanted to move back to the Land Down Under with our kids and finally after years of paying off massive student debt we were able to relocate our family of four to Catherine Hill Bay, NSW. I am currently working as a physiotherapist in Australia and painting as well.

If you'd like a commissioned painting or a Denny Breese original painting, please email me.
